Alayna

I bet you didn't expect two posts in one week. Crazy:)

This week we have fallen into a bit of a routine. I still go to dance class Mondays and Wednesdays and do the stroller workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We saw Marissa on Tuesday too. It was the second time we went to a session without someone else there to watch Kaia. She did pretty well, but we did have to cut it a little short because she was getting tired and fussy. After seeing Marissa we came home to meet my old client Melanie. She brought Kaia the cutest stuffed animal from Barney's. Kaia absolutely loves it!

On Wednesday Kaia fell asleep while I was feeding her so I put her in her car seat and headed out to pick up her birth certificate. She isn't a big fan of the car seat. So when it is just the two of us I hesitate to venture out too much in the car. Aside from a little crying as we got near home, she did pretty well. If Bryn is driving I just sit in the back so I can help her out.

Today Grandma stopped by with a couple of "the girls", Karen and Rene. They were on their way to Greta's wedding weekend here on Coronado. Nancy will be back on Sunday and she and Big Bryn will spend the night here. Today I also got to use a gift certificate for a massage from a client of mine. It took me longer that it use to to let my thoughts go, but it was great to relax a bit.

Kaia is still working on all of her skills from before. She is giggling a lot now too. She is getting even stronger with tummy time. She holds her head up completely so she can see more than a partial view of the room. That helps her a lot with the rolling over too. Today we sat her up in her Bumbo for the first time and she did great. She sat on her own in there for awhile. We have also been trying to get her to like her bouncer a bit more. Bryn and I have actually gotten to eat dinner at the same time with Kaia sitting in her bouncer with us. It is the small victories:) Our other great victory is her long stretches of sleep the last few nights. It has ranged from 9 to 11 1/2 hours. That means that this morning I got to accomplish a lot while she slept until 10am. It is very helpful in trying to get ready for this move.

Time to head to bed now that Kaia is asleep.
