The adventure continues...

So when we got to Wichita we checked into our hotel and relaxed for a bit since it was earlier than usual. Then we met the Stevens' and headed to dinner. Kaia was great a dinner. Pam held on to Kaia and called Nancy to let her know that she was getting to hang out with her granddaughter. After Kaia ate her dinner she passed out and we had enough room to lay her down on the bench and let her sleep. Her timing was perfect and she woke up to hang out with Pam a bit longer before we headed back to our hotel to do laundry.

Kaia has gotten a little thrown by the lack of a schedule and time zone changes so the last few nights she hasn't gone to bed until midnight. That means that Bryn and I don't get to bed until later. So this morning we all slept late and got a late start to the day. We all fot moving around 10am. It surprised us that it was so late and we had to kick into overdrive to get out of the hotel. We had done laundry so we had exploded all over the room. We made it out of the hotel in record time to head to Shawnee, KS and my cousin Dan's house.

We got to Dan's house a little after 2pm and visited for a bit. Kaia was very excited to get out of the car seat. Then we followed Dan to a resturant for lunch. There we met up with cousins John and Wayne and Kaia's Great-great-great aunt Betty. After our visit with everyone we headed back to Dan's house for a couple of hours to catch up and visit some more. Dan offered for us to stay at his house, but we had to get on the road to make our drive to Decorah, IA tomorrow a little shorter.

So now we are in Bethany, MO and it looks like Kaia is going for the midnight mark. She fell asleep at a decent hour, but woke up and doesn't want to go back to sleep. Tomorrow we are going to see Bryn's Aunt Kris and Uncle Kyrl and introduce them to Kaia.
