Grandma's visit

We had a mellow Thanksgiving. It was just us and Grandad. We tried to prep as much as we could in advance because we never know what our days will hold:) The next day Bryn's mom flew in for a visit. Grandma was going through granddaughter withdrawl and Kaia was definately going through Grandma withdrawl. We had mellow hang out time and Bryn and I also got some things accomplished with Grandma played. Grandma did lots of cooking and folded a lot of laundry. On Sunday we went to ICE at the Gaylord in National Harbor. It was 9 degrees and everything was made of ice including huge bigger than life ice sculptures and even ice slides. Yes, we actually slid down the ice slides. It was very festive. Then we headed inside the hotel for a tree lighting and snowfall.

Kaia is still too smart for us. She is so observant. Auntie Carolyn got a new pair of glasses and the only person that noticed the new glasses at all was Kaia. She is also a very loving big sister. We had ordered some clothes for Kaia and when the package arrived Kaia asked where Kamea's clothes were. She is so concerned when Kamea is upset or needs something. Kaia is a huge helper and likes to do anything she can to help Kamea. She will get diapers, toys, clothes, help get her dressed and even clip her into the carseat. Kaia is still loving school. I have no idea what we are going to do when there is no school. Kaia is spelling a lot and counting too. She loves to sing and dance and make up songs. And she is a very prolific artist. Her art cubby is always full at school.

Kamea is "talking" a lot now and is smiling all of the time. She has also been rolling over. She is a strong little girl with a strong grip on everything including my clothes and my hair.

We have had visitors for many weekends in a row. Bryn's dad was here, my grandma, my mom, my sister and brother and Bryn's mom. We have a couple of weekends with no guests and then we are heading to CA for the holidays. Kaia is very excited and is already talking about it.
