Wow! Today was big. Just half an hour ago Kaia rolled over from her tummy to her back during tummy time!!! And she didn't just do it once by accident, she did it a couple of times. It will definitely make tummy time more challenging for us, but we are so excited. She has been pushing up higher and longer lately so I guess this was coming. She has become a pro at blowing bubbles and drooling too.

Today was the biggest first, but the last week has kept us busy. Bryn had the week off so he got to hang out with Kaia a lot. And both of us got to work out and get things done that we can't with one pair of hands around here. The heat here had kept us inside a lot. We went for a walk at the beach with Sara and Claire on Friday and Kaia was soaked through her clothes. So we haven't walked since. Last Saturday we went up to Orange County to go to the street fair, but it was too hot for Kaia and me. So we stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house with Aunt Danja. Kaia got to meet her Great Aunt Astrid and Uncle Bob for the first time.

On Labor Day we went to visit our friends Kris and Pete Collins who just had a baby girl, Kathrine Francis. After that we went to Sara and Brandon's and cooled off with a great dinner up on their deck.

Kaia and I have been holding down the fort at home and have gotten out to run a few more errands than before. She is not a huge fan of her car seat so it has kept our outtings by ourselves pretty local. I can't focus on driving when she is crying at the top of her lungs. I do have to give her credit that she is getting better about it. This afternoon we are heading to the YMCA's version of Stroller Strides to check it out with Sara and Claire.
