The adventure has begun...

We are finally on the road after it took the movers over 16 hours to get us moved out of our house. We weren't planning on that so we ended up leaving Orange County on Sunday morning instead of Saturday. We had a pretty good day the first day and made it to Flagstaff, AZ with only a couple of stops. Today, Monday, we made it to Santa Fe, NM. We probably stopped a little more. We did stop and walk around a little bit in historic downtown Albuquerque, NM. We are planning on going into Santa Fe tomorrow before heading out towards my Aunt Elsie's house in Ft Collins, CO.

We are still figuring out our system and have to bring a crazy amount of stuff into the hotels between the cat and the baby. Thank goodness for luggage carts. We have mangaged to find a park each day while Kaia is awake and we all (including Squirt in her carrier) hang out on a blanket while Kaia has some tummy time and plays. Kaia is doing pretty well. Last night she went to bed at 7:30pm and was up about 12 hours later. We thought the same thing was going to happen tonight, but she woke back up. It is 10:30pm CA time, 11:30pm NM time so who knows what tomorrow will bring. Squirt has been doing pretty well too. She has found her various perches in the car to lay down and watch the world go by. We make sure she is in her carrier before we stop and a door opens. We also have to hold on to her if one of us is going in/out of the hotel. Traveling with Kaia has been a little easier that Squirt.

Time to end this so we can hopefully head to bed.
