Another Kaia first

The big news is that Kaia is eating cereal. And she has actually managed to figure out how to swallow it. We started it 3 or 4 days ago. She is still really unsure of it when she starts eating. The taste and consistency all seem to throw her a bit, but then she gets use to it. Right now she is just getting it right before we start out nighttime ritual of bath and bed. We are hoping that it will help out with her sleeping problems. I have also talked with our doula in San Diego for her suggestions and I spoke to our cranial sacral therapist in San Diego. She worked on Kaia on Monday night. I don't pretend to understand how the long distance session works, but it is based on Marissa creating a space in San Diego to connect with Kaia. Kaia had a really rough night that night and I think it was because of the session. Marissa discovered a couple of things so we are hoping all of these things will help all of us to sleep a little better.

I have started seeing a client here at the local Pilates studio and Bryn is doing lots of reading for school (that is in between him trying to give Kaia and I some time apart from each other). The weather has been really cold so we are a little stir crazy in the house. I could bundle her and put her in the stroller, but I hesitate to do that because with her not moving in the stroller I don't know how warm she will really be. Plus, being so little I am unsure if it is a good idea for her to be out breathing in that cold air for a long length of time. Today we are heading to the library and we are planning on walking if we can.

We are trying to meet people around here. I went to a Spouse's Club event, but couldn't stay very long because I had my Pilates interview. I have also now been in touch with 4 different play groups. I guess it is feast or famine:) We are starting Music Together in January and we might do some infant swim around that same time.

I hear Kaia waking up so I will say goodbye for now.
